In this high-energy camp, campers will learn how to perform like their favorite pop stars! They will learn dances to today's biggest Kidz Pop hits! We will focus on stage presence and how to sing, dance, and act for an audience! Campers will design and create their very own pop star look and learn how to embody that character. At the end of the week, their characters will come to life during a rockin' performance for the parents!

Ages 6-14

Has your child come up with their own productions? Have they ever dreamed of being the star of the show, or the director backstage? This camp is perfect for them!

The LEAP Performing Arts Academy is proud to present our first annual KIDS DIRECTOR CAMP, where the kids call the shots! This week is jam packed with LOTS of classes and workshops. 

The kids will create their own story, choose music, and choreography. They'll learn how to put on their own production from designing a show poster, casting, assigning backstage tasks, learning how to run lighting, calling shows, writing scripts, and management. The kids will create a full show.

LEAP Performing Arts Program presents "LEAP Intensive" for older and goal-oriented dancers. (Ages 9+, not for beginner students) (Students will be separated into classes by level/ability) And "LEAP Mini Intensive" for our younger (Ages 6.5-8) goal-oriented dancers! (Students will be separated into classes by level/ability)

 

These weeks are jam-packed with LOTS of classes and workshops to choose from.

* Receiving Audition Results / Class Placements (For those who do not have interest in company, this will serve as a mock audition)

Because this is an intensive instructional program, all classes and workshops will be closed and private. We respectfully ask that parents refrain from waiting in the studio and/or watching workshops. This is for your child and the instructors' benefit.

Ages 3-8

 

Join us for a fun-filled adventure where imagination knows no bounds. In our Barbie-themed camp, campers will embark on a journey of creativity and friendship, inspired by the iconic Barbie!

Learning special choreography to Barbie inspired music

Outdoor activities

A special Barbie photoshoot

Ages 3-8 years 
 

Mermaid camp includes dance lessons, singing lessons, and yes you guessed it MERMAID lessons! 

 

Mermaid camp is packed with fun activities, field trips and LOTS of learning!  Together they would have dance lessons, learn choreography, share stories, play games, sing songs, learn how to swim like a mermaid in a real mermaid tail, do a mermaid photo shoot, and work on special crafts. 

Kids will get a field trip pool (Location TBD) and learn how to swim in real mermaid tails! Throughout camp they will have lessons, crafts, play games, and more. At the end of their camp week, they will put on a Splashing performance. They'll even have a surprise visit from a REAL mermaid!

 

Come spend a week exploring the world of mermaids dance, art, music, tumbling, play, swim, and other activities!

Prior swimming experience is not required. Swimmies are available to borrow for beginner swimmers. Specific pool to be sent out to campers by Friday prior to camp. 

Ages 6-12 years

Do you love to sing, dance and act? Explore the world of Musical Theater in a fun, exciting and supportive environment. This camp focuses on the music and dance from classic and contemporary Broadway Shows. Students will learn musical theater dance, be given vocal training, and learn acting and musical theater performance techniques. Most importantly this class is focused on developing a love and passion for Musical Theater. At the end of their camp week, they would invite special guests to their musical performance.

Ages 3-7 years
 

Super Hero includes dance and tumbling lessons, a super hero photoshoot against a green screen to create your own comic book, singing lessons, and acting. Throughout camp they will have lessons, crafts, play games, and more. At the end of their camp week, they will put on an action packed performance. Super Hero Camp is for children ages 3-7 years.

Ages 3-7 years

Once upon a time in a land called Little Leapers princes and princesses traveled from near and far to attend Princess Camp. The Princesses were inventors, artists, dancers and most importantly friends. They were kind to others and always used their manners.  Together they would have dance lessons, learn choreography, share stories, play games, learn how to be a prince / princess, a photo shoot, and work on special crafts.

At the end of their camp week, they would invite special guests to their royal performance. They even had a surprise visit from a REAL princess!

Ages 6-12 years

Geared towards ages 6-12 (ages will be split based on age and level)

 

Give me an “F-U-N! What’s that spell? “FUN!” In this new camp campers will learn all of the cheer basics, including pom routines, drill downs, kickline, sidline chants, high-powered basic tumbling and TEAMWORK!

 

Join the Little Leapers Squad and Heather Leeper, former professional cheerleader with the Washington Capitals and captain for the Washington Nationals Spirt Squad!

Ages 5-8

 

Join us as we follow the story of "The Secrets of the Prima Ballerina", written by our very own Miss Heather! Go on a journey through the magical forest and learn what makes up a ballerina. Everything from the magic shoes they wear, to their costumes, to the dance moves themselves.

 

This camp mimics our big kid "dance intensives". With a daily ballet class and variations lesson.  This camp is structured for students looking to not only have fun, but also improve upon their skill. 

 

These little leapers will learn about ballet etiquette in a fun and engaging way! 

 

At the end of the week parents will watch their child perform just like Prima in their very own show! If your child loves ballet, then this camp is for them!
